I am a litigation solicitor with a focus on contentious probate, will disputes, commercial litigation and debt recovery. My broad experience includes advising on matters relating to trusts, contractual disputes, professional negligence and TOLATA (the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996). I am comfortable handling complex, high value disputes for commercial and private clients.

Having worked as a senior associate or consultant solicitor in a number of regional and national law firms for over a decade, Hayley-Jo has broad experience in many areas of litigation. She also works as a freelance lecturer, ensuring she remains up to date on current legislature and any wider issues that might affect her clients.
BIOGRAPHY
Called to the Bar in 2009 and qualified as a solicitor in 2015, Hayley-Jo has worked in the Commercial Litigation and Contentious Trust and Probate teams of a number of regional and national firms, including as a consultant or locum solicitor. She began working with Downie & Gadban in 2025.
She lectures at BPP Law on a freelance basis.
